My Little Chef Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 31, 2026.
My Little Chef is an offline cooking assistant developed and published by Innobytez. The app does not require an account and does not sell personal data.
Chats, saved allergy or dietary information, and settings are stored locally on your device. Up to 100 recent chat threads can remain on the device. Selected photos are resized and processed by the on-device AI model only for the current request; temporary photo-picker paths are not retained between app launches, although chat history may retain the photo names. Innobytez does not receive the content of your chats or photos during ordinary use. Apple platform backups may include local app data under your backup settings. Android system app-data backup is disabled by the app.
The app does not include advertising, behavioural tracking, or user analytics. Camera access on iPhone and Android, and photo-library access on every platform, are used only when you choose to take or attach a photo. The Mac app does not use the camera.
If you deliberately use “Report an AI response,” the app sends the selected AI response, the user message immediately before it, your chosen report reason, any optional note, the selected chef identifier and display name, model identifier, app version, random report identifier, and report timestamps to Innobytez. The selected prompt, response, or note may contain allergy, medical, or other user-provided health information. The report screen asks you to review the selected text before submitting it. Reports are optional, are not linked to an account or used for tracking, and are used only to investigate safety, quality, and app-functionality problems. A report remains in local application-support storage while offline and is sent automatically when the app is next open with a network connection. No other chat messages or photos are included.
The report service uses the sender's IP address transiently in memory to receive and rate-limit submissions, but does not add it to the saved report. Reports are retained only as long as reasonably needed to investigate the report, improve safety, meet security or legal obligations, and document the resulting action. To request access to or deletion of an identifiable report, email [email protected] with its approximate date, category, and a distinctive short phrase. Because there are no accounts or intentional identity links, we may be unable to locate it without those details.
On iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android, the offline AI model is downloaded from Hugging Face. The app shows the approximately 2.4 GB size and asks for confirmation before requesting model data. Hugging Face and its delivery providers may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, device network request, and download time under their own privacy terms. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, My Little Chef and Greg use one verified copy in a shared Apple app container. If Greg has already installed the exact model, My Little Chef reuses it without another download. The shared model is excluded from Apple device backups.
Your app store provider (for example Apple App Store or Google Play) may process download, device, crash, and billing information under its own privacy terms.
You can permanently delete locally saved chats from the app's Settings menu. Local app data remains until deleted in the app, the app's data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled, subject to Apple platform backups. On Apple platforms the separately stored model is shared with Greg; deleting it in either app removes the shared copy once neither app is actively using it. Uninstalling only one app may leave that shared model available to the other app.
